How the cities stack up: It's hard to buy a home
Vancouver homes are among the least affordable within a group of a half-dozen countries, a new study concludes. Below are the top five cities, and the other least affordable cities in Canada, as defined by the multiple of each city's median income that it takes to buy the median-priced home.

1. Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia: 9.5
2. Honolulu, Hawaii: 9.1
3. Gold Coast, QLD/NSW, Australia: 8.7
4. Metro Vancouver: 8.4
5. Sydney, NSW, Australia: 8.3
7. Victoria: 7.4
19. Kelowna: 6.8
25 Abbotsford: 6.5
