Marketing Real Estate with craigslist
craigslist is a free online classified website that has become increasingly popular with Realtors marketing properties (probably because it is free). However, there are some Realtors out there who are abusing this free service or not being truthful in what they are saying. The Real estate Board of Greater Vancouver mandates that in all Realtor advertising the Realtors name and Brokerage must be clearly stated. Because craigslist is so big it is almost impossible for the Real Estate Board to police it therefore we have owners posting in the For Sale by Owner section, posing as the owner and realtors posting and not letting on that they are Real Estate professionals at all.

We use craigslist as part of our marketing plan. We have html flyers that paste directly into craigslist with pictures, videos, descriptions and, most importantly, our name and CENTURY 21 In Town Realty in plain sight. Our Marketing Plan is transparent, we have nothing to hide, we have no shady tactics. When you choose a Realtor to market your largest asset ask them what they have done and how that will translate marketing to your property.
