Expired Listings
The Real Estate Market has Changed...Shouldn't your Marketing Change with it?
Dear Owner of an Expired Listing,
I am sorry your home has expired from its listing contract and remains unsold. I encourage you not to be discouraged nor frustrated, but instead ask yourself: Why didn't my home sell? Which excuse did you hear? The price was too high, Nothing's was selling, the sky was falling...Next ask yourself: How was my home Marketed? Was it exposed to Buyers? Was there an Open House? An ad in the paper? Maybe a yard sign?...Do you think it would have helped if a professional photographer was used? Or a floor plan was made up? What if there had been a streaming video of your home broadcast on YouTube 24 house a day, or if your home had been featured on over 7400 websites across Canada? Would that have made a difference?
As the Real Estate market changes Realtors need to evolve. Marketing has replaced Selling in the vocabularies and actions of these evolved Realtors. The dictionary defines Marketing as:
"The total of activities involved in the transfer of goods from the seller to the buyer, including advertising, shipping, storing, and selling." (www.dictionary.com).
Does this accurately describe the actions taken while your house was listed?
If you are considering relisting your home and are looking for results I would love to talk with you about the Marketing and Exposure strategies I use to achieve results. Please give me a call on my direct line (604-505-6503) to set up a time to meet at your convenience.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Craig
